Komodo dragons are present on three islands - Komodo, Rinca and Gili Montang, which is just outside the park. Both Komodo and Rinca have about 1,300 dragons, Gili Montang has about 60. Rinca is the place to go to see dragons in their natural habitat. The trekking course is a bit challenging in the high humidity and heat of Rinca, so be prepared.
